Door Reinforcement

I was wondering if I'd continue to have content to add to this site - which was a silly thing to think... Of course there will be more content...
The primary boundary between our son and our own living space is now our basement door (featured with extra reinforcements in the "Doors" section). As I stated there, it's a hollow door (mistake!), so I continue to need to reinforce it. I've added a few new components this weekend including a reinforced backplate on our side of the door and some 90-degree metal to the under side of the door on his side.
If you plan to do something like this to a hollow door, make sure you're screwing into the edges where the door frame is - that will give it a little more strength.
Our plan is to build a wall in our basement with a metal framed door and move the boundary to that door. So I really just need to it hold up for a few weeks! Otherwise, I'd replace this with a solid door (and still probably add all the reinforcements). Once the new wall and door are up, I'll replace this basement door completely.
